First download Rebol, it’s totally free - even for commercial purpose. There are 2 versions: the leightweight Rebol Core (suitable for Web Server) and the Rebol View version (suitable for Server and Desktop GUI). The second one is the most complete as it embeds a GUI Library so that I advise you to download that one.

rebol download: choose your OS
Second, just launch the install and optionally configure email and proxy as follow:

Just Click OK

Click on the Console Icon

Type your first program Print “Hello World”
Put Rebol.EXE in Windows Start Menu for quicker access:

Drag & Drop Rebol Executable on Windows Start Menu
Optionally you can configure your smtp and proxy parameters:

Type Desktop to go back to the Desktop Screen

Click on User

Uncheck Connect at Startup

Click on Email Settings

Fill the smtp and pop info.
Update: If you’re a Linux Guy see this page.

Thanks for the useful info. It’s so interesting
Keep up the great job Rebtut. You are talented enough to become a dare good teacher.
Now you understand all the patience and efforts it takes to show in every detail any newcomer all he needs to know - at least when he starts coding and by the same time acquire some new tools (environment, languages), new concepts and algorithms and then must put them all together to work…
It’s really a lot to learn and a lot more to put together all the adequate learning material and a shame our society doesn’t better support our educational system staff.
But some of them, like you have the true passion necessary to do it and don’t want to count for their hours. It’s a bad luck for many of those teachers that are not computer literate enough to become as good as you… I know all the effort it takes - Congrats! and keep up the excellent work !
Now I think your work has got lot more value since the REBOL community has recognized the real value of what you created to help everybody to get his hands on this neglected marvelous productivity tool Carl created for all of us.
All those (not-all) simple DSLs you put to work and take all the necessary time to describe the how-to process will attract a lot of bright young ppl. - let’s see them get concrete the next REBOLUTION ! Thanks.
Best Regards
Thanks, you have been a great supporter
Will have to slow down cause my vacation will be finished !
Hi, you have some very interesting tutorials here.
I am intrigued with Rebol, so I want to start learning it.
Only doubt that I have is: is it right time to start learning Rebol 2 when Rebol 3 is on it’s way? Is the difference from programming perspective so big that I am soon gonna start learn new Rebol from the beginning?
You will have a less steep learning curve if you start with Rebol 2.
